Bear Breaks 🧸 🧘 💕

Have a Bear’s Calm Cave or Calm Corner in your classroom or shared area with soothing activities to aid self-regulation when children become overwhelmed, anxious, stressed, angry etc.. and need time to process their emotions that have led to their communication and self-regulate.

These areas can be filled with activities/resources such as - mindfulness colouring in, drawing/writing paper, ‘fidget’ toys, soothing lights, access to relaxing music (best to include headphones), play-dough, picture books (* This can include a range of picture books that support different emotional needs.)

Pupils can take their inner bear heart with them for their ‘bear break’ to help focus their attention on building their ‘inner teddy bear.’ 🧸💕
