I am so grateful to have discovered the “Bearing Up”approach during my NQT year.
Each week, my children write journal entries to our class bear, Benny and through him, they’ve learned to express their feelings, celebrate their progress and embrace a growth mindset. What started as a writing activity has become a powerful wellbeing ritual.Their confidence has grown, their writing has flourished and our classroom has become a place where every child feels seen, heard, and valued.
Alongside Benny Bear, I’ve woven in so many of Paula’s thoughtful child friendly, primarified approaches and resources, and they have completely reshaped the culture of our room. We’ve built a community grounded in trust, respect, and resilience and Benny has become a true member of our class family. 💖🧸
I’m endlessly thankful to Paula for creating an approach that empowers teachers to nurture not just attainment, but the whole child. The impact has been real and meaningful 💖🧸
